I work at Famous Dave’s, and can say that the grilled pineapple steaks are Vegan. They ARE grilled on the same grill as the meats, but if that bothers you, just as for them fresh and ungrilled! 🙂 They are nothing more than slices of pineapple thrown on the grill for a few minutes.

At famous daves right now. I asked for some sides of broccoli and corn on the cob without butter and the server said they can not cook them without butter. Maybe it’s just her being misinformed, but if she’s not, that’s just two more things a vegan can’t have. :/
Diana
It’s true! The corn is boiled in “butter water,” and there is no going around it. As for the broccoli, it is pre-portioned in bags with butter. Some cooks will take the butter out of the bag (although it’s already touched the broccoli) and other cooks will choose not to go through the trouble. If the butter having touched the broccoli doesn’t bother you, and that location will do it, the broccoli can be steamed without butter.

Anybody likes vegan burgers ?

They have veggie burgers now. Are they vegan?
Diana
At my location the corn is boiled in “butter water,” so it’s not vegan. We do have Garlic Red-Skinned Mashed Potatoes which are vegan though, along with our plain baked potatoes (ours have a soy-based spray and salt on top). I guess it all depends on the franchise and even specific locations
