According to this reddit thread, the mushroom are NOT veg and the peppers and onions are questionable. Source:

Wheat bread has a honey powder in it.

I work for a company that owns some Firehouse Subs franchises. I asked about the mushrooms and I was told that yes, they used to be cooked in Worcestershire sauce, which contains anchovies, but as of a few months ago, they stopped buying those and now get plain ones.

Went here today and they said all veggies on veggie sub contain sardines. It’s on the au jus sauce they use.

This information is obviously inaccurate. The wheat bread at Firehouse Subs contains honey powder, and the white bread contains L-cysteine which is usually not vegan (though can be synthetic). Both of these are clearly listed in their ingredients lists online. There are other ingredients (e.g. stearic acid) which can be of animal or plant origin. There is not a single mention of the word ‘vegan’ on the Firehouse Subs website. In fact, in January 2016 they confirmed on Twitter that there is “nothing on the horizon” in terms of vegan options. So, stay away.

I used to work at Firehouse and they use the marinara from the meatball bin, where chunks of the meat are always breaking off.

This is really nice that you put this all together. I do feel when you order items without cheese or meat that there should be a discount, and I’d ask! Thx, again

I was told all
The veggies in veggie sub are cooked in meat for flavor. I’m in the process of trying to confirm directly.
