The white bread at jimmy johns “may contain milk” I believe due to being processes in the same factory as the cookies and other products so it depends on how strict you are! Other than that all the ingredients are vegan friendly. The wheat bread contains honey so it isn’t vegan. I worked there for two years and vegan myself.

But the owner of JJs is a greedy disgusting dude

The owner of Jimmy Johns likes to kill large animals like elephants and bears:

The unwich is nothing more than an iceberg lettuce leaf with a 2 tomato slices and some lettuce after you remove the cheese and mayo. The only difference between the vegetarian unwich and the gourmet vegetarian unwich is the amount of cheese that is added. If you get the gourmet vegetarian without cheese or mayo you’re literally paying extra for something you’re having removed anyway.

The bread contains l-cysteine, which for those who don’t know, is most commonly made from human hair, pig hair or poultry feathers. Although it can be (rarely) plant-based, Jimmy John’s refuses to disclose their source as the bread is a “proprietary recipe”. Bummer.

The bread has eggs. So it’s hard if you are a vegan. They can do a lettuce wrap though!

The French bread is made on the same equipment as a few other things so it has the may contain egg warning. Other than that if you aren’t a strict vegan, it’s a go. The #13 and the #6 are the same if you get no mayo and no cheese so opt for the #6 to save a buck and you can really load up on all the freebies if you ask.

Being Vegan is more than a diet choice, it is a lifestyle and moral choice.
Jimmy John’s owner feels that the killing of big game animals for sport is ok. For that reason, it wouldn’t matter what he has on his menu!
Please do not patronize Jimmy Johns.

I’m a vegan, however I have no right to pass judgment on anyone aside from my own self.My vegan diet had absolutely nothing to do with “morals” it was a . “I like this, not that”.I can catch lettuce,,si I earn eating it,but that’s me,my opinion. not anyone else. if you are so insited by someone youve never met or know, maybe you should try actually spending time in gathering favts, not personal opinion, and going into that place that doesn’t have a screen and 4G to hide behind… So vegan is a moral choice? that implementation could be construed(& by intelligent people) equal to you stating that Christianity, homo, hetro, gender are choices.
I wish you a chance to truly experience life…

You are not a “vegan” by definition then. If you don’t eat meat or dairy, then you are simply just on a “plant based diet.” Veganism is a lifestyle that encompasses all aspects of boycotting animal exploitation, including rich dickhats that like to murder endangered animals.

Ever since the term was coined by Donald Watson in the 40s, the word “vegan” has referred to both a diet and a lifestyle. A vegan is essentially someone who tries, as much as is practical, to avoid consuming animal products. Regardless of the reason. So there are ethical vegans, religious vegans, dietary vegans, and so on. They’re all vegans.

Nothing here should be considered vegan, as the owner is an avid hunter of endangered animals in Africa.

The owner of Jimmy John’s company is known to do a lot of hunting of endangered animals in Africa, such as elephants, lions, etc. He poses for smiling pictures with the animals he kills. I would argue that giving even a cent to this company cannot be considered a vegan choice. If you eat here, you will be supporting the ongoing murder of innocent and endangered animals.
