I believe the Chili’s new Margarita Fresh Mex Bowl is vegan.
Made with house-made corn & black bean salsa, rice & black beans. Topped with
house-made pico de gallo, fresh field greens, chopped cilantro, crispy tortilla strips, fresh sliced avocado
& a drizzle of margarita sauce.
As long as you don’t add chicken or shrimp.
The tortilla strips are not vegan…and the rice is not vegan either. 🙁
The rice contains fish…so be careful. They just got asparagus with garlic tomatoes that is Vegan. I am a vegan who has been with the company for 9 years. 🙂
What about the flour tortillas
The flour and corn tortillas are vegan as long as they aren’t fried!
Don’t forget the appetizers! They have guacamole and chips+salsa.
Anything fried is NOT vegan. Also, I’ve tried ordering fajitas with no meat three times at three different Chili’s locations and have been told every time I cannot order them without meat.
Then they just don’t know they can make you veggie fajitas. I order it all the time, one time was even at an airport. They have always had different veggies but they are still delicious. Ask to speak to a manager if a server tells you they can’t leave off the meat.
The fajitas are cooked with garlic butter, even if you order without meat!
My local one says they use canola oil.
I’ve asked the server today if the rice contained any fish and they told me they changed their menu. As of today Oct 6, 2017, it does not contain any fish products.
