But that’s not even the worst part.

McDonalds fries aren’t vegan!

Honey is not vegan, perhaps people should question ALL the products you consider vegan at McDonald’s…devil is in the details…

according to their website the honey is “Grade A pure honey” the cookies are defiantly not vegan either. It really bums me out that so much is incorrect because i use this website a lot to find out if something is vegan or not and I have shared it with friends.

here are some other things on this list that are NOT vegan:

    McRib Sauce
    Chipotle BBQ Sauce
    Honey
Cookies (both Chocolate chip and oatmeal are NOT vegan)

    Please fix this!

You can’t really trust that, though, because on fast days they’re cooked with the meat. I would cut them out all together.

I work at McDonald’s now and I can tell you for a fact that fries are cooked separate from meat if you every go inside one where you could see them making the food. You’ll see.

the fries aren’t considered vegan because the oil used to fry them contains hydrolyzed milk, not because of a shared fryer.

I currently work at McD’s and I can vouch that the fries are indeed NOT vegan. At my store, at least, we fry them in grease derived from beef products. The ingredients on the box of frozen fries also includes milk. Very upsetting. On my breaks I stick with Iced coffee with liquid sugar only/espresso, an English muffin no butter with Straw/Grape jelly, apple pies, or the oatmeal with no cream. You can also order the smoothies with ‘no yogurt’, and any of the sandwiches with no sauce, meat, or cheese. McD’s isn’t the most veg conscious place but there are some solid options for when you find yourself there. Hope this helps, and be specific as you can because we(employees) are bound to make mistakes every now and then. If it looks right on the screen you’re good. 🤘🏻

In Canada their fries are vegan (cooked in vegetable/sunflower oil and cooked in a different frier than the meat)

You can also order the southwest or Mediterranean veggie wraps sans cheese & sauce 🙂

FYI, if the vegans want to win over the meat-eating crew, you WILL need to compete with McDonalds, which means deep-frying things. You need to break away from the health side of your dietary decisions if you want to pull others into it. Aim for the lowest common denominator. Open a chain of restaurants selling food that isn’t what you would eat, but the rest of us would. Yes, we will die clutching your chests, but there will be fewer animals killed for food.
